Glenbeigh believes substance use disorders can affect the entire family. Glenbeigh offers on-line educational and support services for family members of our patients with an experienced member of our counseling team. Currently, virtual programming is offered each Friday and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Programming provides family members with educational information and leaves time for questions.

In-person family education is also available on select weekdays at our five outpatient centers as part of Glenbeigh's Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Continuing Care programs.

In the family packet provided there is information on how to participate in family services. Additional information is available by contacting the admissions department or your family member's counselor.

Alcohol and drug use can affect everyone in the family, but help is available. Loved ones need support, care and attention every bit as much as the person with the substance use disorder.

At Glenbeigh, we understand the anger, hopelessness, disappointment and frustration experienced by family members and loved ones. Our Family Education teaches you how to work through the disruption caused by the disease and cope more effectively.

Glenbeigh's Family Education offers support and guidance as you learn about substance use disorders, the treatment process and recovery. Topics discussed include:

  • Substance Use Disorder
  • Boundaries and Communication
  • Enabling and Detachment
  • Returning Home

Because family participation is a crucial component of the treatment and recovery process, Glenbeigh provides this service at no additional charge. Substance abuse is a disease that occurs in many families. It cannot be controlled, but it can be effectively addressed with the appropriate treatment, education and guidance.

You are not alone. Glenbeigh is here for you. Contact us for more information on our family services.
